Signed-at venue lines now honor your firm's state
Court declarations previously read "Signed at [city], Washington" for every firm — a false venue for firms not physically in Washington. They now pull the state from your Firm Information.
A new "State of signing" dropdown on the Pleading Formatting and Execution tab lets you override for a specific matter — for example, a PR who signs at their home in another state. Leave it blank and the firm's state is used automatically.
Affected: 13 mailing declarations (DOR, DSHS, NOA, NOH, Notice to Creditor, and others), the Inventory verification page, the Declaration of Will and Codicil Witnesses, and the Declination to Serve as PR.
Deadlines Chart and creditor letters — blank rows instead of coded fragments
On the Important Dates and Deadlines Chart, rows whose value depended on a date you had not yet entered — like the Personal Representative appointment date or the creditor-notice publication date — could print coded fragments such as ,4,MMMM d, yyyy, or an XpressDox error message. Those rows now render as a blank line.
The same guard was applied to the other templates that used the same date formulas: the CP Agreement Admin checklist, the Creditor Claims table, and client letters covering CPA administration, taxes, valuing assets, the probate overview, creditor issues, and late-filed creditor claims.
