When you download assembled documents from Agile EP, your browser automatically saves the file to a default download location (often a “Downloads” folder). If you would like files to save to a different location — such as your Desktop, a client folder, or a shared drive — you can change this setting in your browser.
Below are instructions for the most common browsers.
Google Chrome
To change the default download location in Chrome:
Open Chrome.
Click the three dots in the top-right corner.
Select Settings.
Click Downloads (in the left menu).
Next to Location, click Change.
Choose the folder where you would like files to save.
You can also turn on Ask where to save each file before downloading if you prefer to choose a location each time.
After updating the setting, future downloads will save to the new location.
Microsoft Edge
To change the download location in Edge:
Open Edge.
Click the three dots in the top-right corner.
Select Settings.
Click Downloads.
Next to Location, click Change.
Select your preferred folder.
You may also enable Ask me what to do with each download if you want to choose the location each time.
Firefox
To change the download location in Firefox:
Open Firefox.
Click the three lines in the top-right corner.
Select Settings.
Under the General tab, scroll to Files and Applications.
Under Downloads, choose:
Save files to and select a folder, or
Always ask you where to save files
Your selection will apply to future downloads.
Safari
To change the download location in Safari:
Open Safari.
Go to Safari > Settings (or Preferences).
Click the General tab.
Next to File download location, choose:
A default folder, or
Ask for each download
Your new setting will apply going forward.
Helpful Tip
If you are unable to locate a downloaded file, check:
Your browser’s download history
Your computer’s “Downloads” folder
Any folder previously set as your default download location
These settings are controlled entirely by your browser, not by Agile EP.
