The Client Information tab establishes the foundational data used throughout the entire document package. Nearly every document generated by the system relies on the information entered here.
Although the fields are simple, the entries made in this tab populate captions, defined terms, signature blocks, pronoun logic, acknowledgments, and internal references across the full suite of documents. Because this information carries through globally, careful entry at the outset prevents formatting issues and drafting inconsistencies later.
Taking a moment to confirm accuracy here will save time at review and execution.
Legal Name Controls Document Captions and Signature Blocks
The name entered here will populate:
Introductory recitals in legal documents (“I, John Michael Smith…”)
Signature blocks
Notary acknowledgments
Fiduciary references throughout the documents
Because the system inserts this information exactly as entered, it should reflect how the client intends to be formally identified in executed documents.
Middle Name Field — Formatting Guidance
Enter the middle name exactly as it should appear in the documents. This field does not automatically format or abbreviate. The system reproduces the entry exactly as typed.
For example:
If the client wants the full middle name spelled out, enter: Michael
If the client prefers a middle initial, enter: M.
If the client does not use a middle name in legal documents, leave the field blank if permitted by your workflow
Preferred Name or Nickname
This field allows entry of the name the person commonly uses. A preferred name may be used in informal references or for clarity in family recitals. It does not replace the legal name in signature blocks, acknowledgments, or formal captions.
Preferred Pronouns — Why This Field Is Required
Pronoun selection drives automated grammatical logic throughout the documents. Selections here affect:
Subject-verb agreement
Possessive constructions
References in fiduciary provisions
Trustee and personal representative clauses
Residuary and contingent distribution articles
Because the drafting engine relies on this selection for grammatical accuracy across multiple documents, the field is required. An incorrect or omitted selection can result in inconsistencies throughout the package.
Citizenship
Citizenship may affect tax-related provisions, planning assumptions, or certain administrative clauses, depending on the selected planning modules. You are able to select a country of citizenship from the drop-down menu or type in a different one if not listed.
